Spring is in the air — and even if warm weather hasn't arrived in your neck of the woods — the equinox makes it official. So you'd better dust off the mop and don a pair of rubber gloves because spring cleaning is at hand! But for all you dog own… more ›

Glad i read this. I had no idea that the detergent could irritate my pups skin. Will have to note that down so when i get my new puppy and will be cleaning his towel (a ton im sure) i wont use fabric softner. Hmm, wonder if you can by a pet safe brand.

Spring cleaning.. oh what fun.. actually if you own an animal you are cleaning spring, summer fall and winter. put a dust rag on the end of the tail and let them dust for you.

we pop each puppy paw into a bowl of warm water and then towel them off, i use my fingers to pick out the mud. whomever wrote this article hasn't had much experience w/wiping muddy paws. a damp cloths not gonna do it when it's up to their ankles and clumped up in their fur!

I know it is sad how neglected cats are. There are so many predators out there, cars, owls, hawks, disease, people poisoning them, etc. I can't sleep at night if my cat is outdoors. I will spring clean her things and get her some new toys. Her old ones are tattered.

Spring cleaning well as for crumbs and food that gets dropped in our house Skitters is our vacum that is unless the food is vegtables or mcdonalds french fries she will eat french fries from anywhere else though shouldn't that tell everyone something about mcdonalds. As for my grandma some times the Cricket gets to lick her plates clean then she washes them. Oh yeah Cricket also gets her baths in the kitchen sink and my brother said if he got worms that he would know who to blame. Although Cricket doesn't have worms she has fleas but not worms.

I'm getting the impression that Zootooers hate Spring cleaning so much that they don't even want to read this article to learn how to "embrace" the cleaning...

spring cleaning is a necessity. it's the one time of the year i actually feel like getting down and dirty into every nook and cranny, but most importantly - it's time to find homes for all the clutter you don't really know what to do with.

I love spring, but I hate the cleaning part of it. It seems to never end. Interesting ideas though.

I agree. It doesn't seem to end. And since we don't get snow here in FL, the cleaining really is a year round job.

Actually, just trying to keep up the "regular" chores leaves little time (make that "energy") for additional cleaning. For example, the Z-Boys really make a mess on the kitchen floor virtually EVERYday, so I need to clean the kitchen MANY times per week.

Queen Zeta, in particular, leaves huge blobs of fur on the carpet...
