What a spunky little terrier! My horses didn't care for the dogs around them, so this was definate no no. But my gelding loved the cat and often let her sleep on his back.

A cute story and I'm glad that the dogs and ponies both enjoy the game - but... please remember that dogs and horses don't necessarily alway get along well with each other. A single kick from a horse can be lethal to a dog so all dog-horse interactions should be carefully supervised and controlled.

I have a similar story, but it is of a cat we once had who loved to lounge on our pony's back. She would sleep there or nuzzle her mane. And the pony would just happily graze, hardly paying the cat the time of day!

All of our pets get along quite well, it is nice to see they can bond with one another and not just pet with human!

I am from England, and there are so many wonderful pet friendly farms there. The children have a ball and whenever you are on the roads in the countryside, you will always see signs saying "Petting Farm".
