Very cool! Although, I wish the Amy Carter's elephant wasn't in a zoo, but in a sanctuary if he/she couldn't be released back into his/her native habitat.

I think it is great that there have been several cats in the White House. It's pretty cool that Calvin Coolidge was so close to his cat! It would have been neat to see him walking around with the cat around his neck.

I wonder what kind of cat Obama has, I would really like to know I have heard alot of presidents switch pets when moving into the white house just to please the voters. Which I would never do I don't care if my dog is a big dog or a miss bahaved dog that can be fixed. I would never get rid of my dog just to please the people who voted for me.

The White House definitely needs a "First Kitty". Did you see the President speaking outside of the White House and a VOLE running back and forth near the podium??? Had there been a "First Kitty" on the premises, the vole would not be making such bold public appearances....
