ISRAEL – One of Former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's most diligent supporters has been waiting for the 78-year-old's return from hospital – and it's likely his wait will continue.

According to the Deccan Herald, Sharon's dog Golda waits for him outside his southern Israeli ranch every day. The dog even sleeps there in hopes the ailing premiere will return.

In fact, the wary pooch has done this since Sharon had a massive stroke just over two years ago. The dog refuses to enter the room where both used to sleep before the attack.

According to Reuters, Sharon remains comatose and is being cared for at the Sheba Medical Center in Tel Aviv. Doctors say it is unlikely he will awaken from the coma, and that each passing day his chances diminish.

We're told that Golda has been well cared for in the absence of the former prime minister. The dog's persistence is a tribute to the loyalty of dogs.

This is sad. I hope for the man to get better but it does not look that way hopefully someone will take the dog in and care for him as he needs a new family or he might die from greif.
