Reminds me of the picture of the mama dog kissing the firefighter after rescueing her from a fire. Precious.

I have the window sticker that alerts emergency crews that I have animals inside and the number of each type. I certainly hope I get someone this caring if I ever have that type of emergency.

My husband's late father was a firefigher, and as if I didn't already respect firefighters already, I certainly did even more when I read this story in October in the press. So glad they protect ALL life from fires.

Way to go. We need more people out here like this. Many wouldn't even think of doing what he did and I am just so glad to hear that people like him are still around, and hopefully becoming more and more abundant.

I am so impressed that the fire fighter knew how to give mouth to mouth to a pet. I highly commend him for his efforts, Every one should have that knowledge.

The Preston County Animal Shelter thru donations purchased 12 sets (sm,med,lg) of the pet rescue masks for our 12 Volunteer Rescue Units located in our large county.
These masks hook up to O2. and are washable and can be reused.

They have helped save one family pet in our County already that was in a house fire.

You can purchase these set thruH.E.L.P.com

Well, why not, its got to be safer to do mouth-to-mouth on an animal has to be safer than on a human !

Wow! It is impressive that this fireman would go the extra mile to perform a life saving technique on a pet. Our local shelter offers Pet First Aid classes, and the American Red Cross offers Pet First Aid books. I think it is a wise investment for all pet owners to investigate these educational resources so they can be ready to perform this skill in times of need.

My husband is a firefighter, and unfortunately, pets are often the first casualties of house fires. Everyone that owns pets should post a notice(you can buy a special sign)in their window of how many pets they have. When an emergency arises, there will be info on your pets for rescue workers to see.

Firefighters are a different bread. I am in a Civilian Fire Academy now and have had the privilege of going on a ride along when we went to rescue a dog. The firefighter was very concerned for the dog and unstuck the dog without hurting him. This firefighter is just another in a long line that shows they care for eveyone.
Good Job!!

These people are heros, even though they would never accept the nametag because they are so selfless and compassionate.
Total opposite of a complete fake like Hillary Clinton who would save her shoes from a fire instead of her animal. Acutally, she wouldn't face that decision because she just gives her pet away when it can't gain her any more "points".

Thank you to all the firefighters and police who put their lives on the line everyday for us.
