That's crazy how lotsofdomesticated animals can't survive in the wild, but cats usually can.

A sweet story! I'm not sure the cat would agree with her choice of places to move back to, though!

What a wonderful reunion story! I don't even get tornadoes where I live, but I still worry about my cats. Anytime there is a tornado watch I make all the cats and dog go to the basement. It is not a fun time for us.

What a wonderful thing to find, your cat still alive. Living in tornado alley I always worry about what will happen. So far so good that we haven't hard to deal with this yet.

I am very glad to hear that they are reunited. Not all owners would have kept looking that long. One thing a hunter told me to try if a dog wandered off and could not be found is to leave a jacket, or something with your scent where you last saw them, and check it regularly - the animal will come back to it.

I can't get enough of these kinds of stories...too bad then networks and other media outlets don't believe these stories can bring in an audience.

I lost one of my girls for about 3 hours one day. Worst feeling in the world. then here she comes running down the side walk. Losing a pit bull is a little for scary than an ordinary dog. You wonder what did they do or will someone steal her and make her fight..
