Inhumane treatment of animals is the primary reason I became a vegetarian nearly two years ago. I'm glad to see restaurants are starting to pay attention.

It is good to see this matter brought up. I do believe all living things should be treated humanely. It is great to see that some people are going the extra mile to do something about it.

i'm all for buying/eating locally. factory farms need to be shut down, for both animals sakes as well as local economies.

While I'm a vegetarian & an animal rights activist, I'm not a "veggi-nazi". I feel it's a choice if you want to eat meat & animal-derived products, but I also feel that the animals raised for our food should be treated humanely & organically.

ALL animals should be kept/raised in "ethical" pastures and there should not even be anything that was not "cage-free". It is a disgrace what has been happening and it is well overdue that we return to the ways things ought to be!!!!!

This is a good artical.Health of the people depends from treatment with the farm animals.
Better treatment-better health. And all places need more reforms to improve living conditions for farm animals.
