I hope things remain well for these dolphins, and that if they take a turn for the worse agencies involved will be able to react with enough time to save them.

Except that man has got involved with nature by ruining the environment and perhaps that is what is causing the problems with these dolphins.

Well, if the experts think things are going to be OK, and are monitoring them, I'm going to hope that there will be a happy ending

I agree with you. I'm glad they're ready to step in, but it would be best to let the dolphins try to work it out. Sounds like a counseling session for a married couple-lol.

I hope they get out ok. I think they should be guided out of those waters and helped towards warmer water.

I hope they get out ok, or it doesn't freeze over and they survive the harsh winter. I wouldn't want to see them thinking everything will be ok, and then have the dolphins die.

interesting story - hard to know what the right thing to do it - I agree to let nature take its course but by the same token, if the river freezes they're sunk. Hope it all works out

i always like how some people think they know better on behalf of the animal when really they need to just butt out. i agree that nature will take its course and these animals are more than capable of using good animal sense to take care of themselves. they've been doing it for millions of years after all.

I agree with you, there has to be a reason for them to be where they are and when it is time, they will leave. It is nice that there are people concerned and watching over them.

I think all of us want them to survive. What galls me is the fact these bleeding heart do gooders want animals and fish to have free range lives. EXCEPT when they determine what is best for a species. If they chose to stay there of their own volition than leave them alone. Survival of the fitest has always been natures way. Maybe these spent to much time in polluted water and are damaged.

It is nice to see the people of NJ taking an interest in these dolphins. We could all show more concerns with the animals we share the planet with.

Let nature take it's course as the saying goes. I feel we have created way too many problems in this world by trying to control nature. For every action there is a reaction and God knows, we are not very good at predicting the reaction.....Let then be and hope that they make it.

I'm glad they are being monitored and that action will be taken if necessary to save them but for now as long as they are doing OK, leave them alone.

I agree with NOAA's stance that they should be allowed to do what they will do and not try to move them. Of course if they are in imminent danger, as NOAA's representative stated, then they should consider relocating them but there's no reason to now.

I think it is important for humans not to intervene until absolutely necessary. These are highly intelligent, wild animals, and they must be given the chance to solve their own problems.

I hope that they have a back-up plan and monitor these beautiful mammals. They should try to keep the water open for them and give them a chance. I will be watching their progress and sending emails if they are in distress.

I thought that dolphins were supposed to be so smart! The water up here is FREEZING!!! I don't understand why the NAOO is waiting for the dolphins so get into trouble before helping them out or atleast getting them to go to warmer waters.
