Hopefully, if it gets too dangerous for the dolphins, officials will step in. For now, it sounds like they are okay on their own.

I think they should leave them alone for now also. Sound slike it's too risky to try anything when the danger is questionable.

Dolphins are very clever creatures. Being from the Florida, I never really thought of winter in the north and what the dolphins do to survive.

I wonder why these Dolphins don't move south to warmer water. I thought Dolphins were smart. I hope they make it O.K.

These dolphins have been in the news in NJ since the summer. Boaters had to use caution in the river so as not to disturb or injure them. I hope they make it through the winter successfully.

It sounds like the people in charge will make sure they get moved if the river freezes over. If none of them seem to be in distress, I say leave them be for now.

How the weather is going this year so far I don't think there is a risk of the river freezing solid anymore. I hope they have enough food is my concern. Dolphines are such a beautiful thing to watch when they are swimming. Hope no more die.

I think it's sad that no one intervenes but I guess I understand. It's nature and they don't want to interfere unless they have to.

Sounds like the politicians should stick to politics and leave the wildlife to the experts. They are wild animals in their habitat doing what they do. They are being monitored so if they are in imminent danger I am sure they will take action if they determine it is necessary. Sometimes we just have to leave nature to do its thing.

This saga has been a really difficult one for me to decide on--on the one hand, you really want to help the dolphins but then you also think that perhaps we humans should stay out of it and live with the reality that sometimes we need to let nature take its course. It's a hard one--will helping do more harm or not. I hope they survive.

I hope that it works out for the dolphins.  It sounds like any intervention that is made too soon could just make matters worse. The problem is knowing when it would be too late

A friend of mine works with a marine mammal rescue group and I heard about these dolphins months ago. They need to be safely guided out by knowledgeable rescue workers because they are confused and basically trapped. I can't believe they have survived this long!

I'm sorry but they are wild animals and nature will take its course. If they die then they die. It is just a part of life.

that's a bit like watching someone about to get run over and not yelling out to them that there is danger but hey ho, we are all entitled to our own opinions and my comment isn't mean to be rude to you :)

I think they are waiting too long. Their survival in the river is questionable but further in the southern ocean it isn't as questionable...why can't they work on the safe side and try to get them to relocate now?
