I would certainly like to see a follow-up on this story. I hope the dolphins are able to survive the winter. Especially, this year as it's been so cold and we've had so much precipitation.

As long as the dophins are healthy, I guess we should let them trust their own instincts. They are being monitored by experts, so I don't think politicians need to get involved.

If the water was cold in July, imagine what it must be like now. I'd be curious to know if there is any current information on these dolphins.

I am sort of glad that they arent trying to help them quite yet. I think if they stay there it may help them evolve a little more to withstand the cold temps and maybe there environments can expand. Overall though I hope the creatures survive.

Somehow I missed reading this sory, although I do remember seeing a TV news story regarding the dolphins when they first took up residence in New Jersey and several other stories about authorities battling this past summer trying to keep the curious boating pubic away from the dolphins. Would like to see an update on this article. I hope they make it through this miserable bitter winter.

This is so sad, i mean they can live by themselves no one has to touch them, just leave them alone. The dolphins are cute you have to admit.

It was reported on the news tonight that they think all of the dolphins have died. The last sighting appears to have been of one dolphin, just before that five. They were described as emaciated and sickly looking.

Man throws all sorts of unnatural challenges and obstacles in the way of nature, maybe that should be taken into consideration when dealing with a situation like this, perhaps then help would be considered natural.
