That is so funny - I always worry that my dog is going to do something like this in Petco, apparently this dog decided it is easier to go into stores where they don't allow pets. I guess no one is expecting you so there is the element of surprise!

Dumb animals, huh? You think he hadn't cased that store the night before? He knew right where that bone was and made it his own. He's one smart thief.

I saw this video on the news a little while back and it had me smiling all day! I always tend to root for the "underdog" and to me this dog seemed to be saying he didn't need an owner to live the good life, he could take care of himself. I mean if they're just going to leave all those good bones unguarded... :)

This is cute * We all know dogs don't have money & even if they did how would they use it ? Sounds like a very smart dog indeed! Animals do what they have to do to surviive * Animals in the wild steal frome eachother * Very interesting * I hope someone finds this puppy, gives him/her a good home & gives it all the doggytreats it's heart desires :)

That is one of the funniest pet stories I've ever heard! Hey, the dog knew what he wanted and he wanted it now. Can't blame him.

Funny story! Especially in regards to the dog walking right to the aisle that had the dog treats. I've had my dogs in pet stores that keep some treats near the floor and within easy reach of dogs and had to watch that they did not grab a treat.

I wonder if his owners took the price of the bone out of his allowance.

Beautiful kudos to Fido!Stealing is wrong but this is such a cute story, honestly I think the dogs owner had a hand in it somehow.Still makes me smile. If there's a big deal on the theft I'll pay for the bone.I'm still laughing!!!!Let the pooch enjoy his/her spoils.I would suggest a door greeter tho.

Haha this article just simply makes a smirk. The fact that the dog walked in straight to the isle where his merchandice was then simply walked out makes it hillarious. Maybe he was simply hungry and wanted a snack. :)

My puppy is always trying to "help" me shop. I hope she doesn't take pointers from this one and actually get away with it. I'm glad the grocery store saw the humor in the situation.

I saw the follow-up news story on TV also. They identified the dog from the survellance video, and the owner came back with the dog - and paid for the bone that the dog had taken. It was a nice "part 2" of the story.

It's embarrasing enough when kids do this. Can you imagine how the owner felt walking into the store after his dog shoplifted?

This is a great story. They should of never said nothing because maybe he would come in more offen for a bone so they could catch him and get the dog off the streets.
