This is so awful. People get sicker and sicker everyday. Hope and pray that they find the creeps that are harming these animals. No animal deserves to be treated that way.

What kind of despicable person could do that? We need tougher animal cruelty laws!

The Rodgers must have some enemies living close by. His family is in danger as well as the other dog. Considering the damage to the dog, it could be a hunter that wants the Rodgers' property.

How sick can people be? Poor little dog. I can not imagine what this poor little dogs went through. Even the one that did escaped he seen his friend tortured and then be put to sleep. He will be going through grieving and depression,so even he is alive he will be suffering. If they ever get this person they should be lock him up in a nut house for ever.

these stories make me sick. the owner is clearly an irresponsible idiot. his dogs weren't pets. you don't allow your family members to run aimlessly around the countryside and near a road. the owner should be fined and the other dog given to a proper home. the people who did this, if found, should be skinned alive.

I don't even have a response for something like this. I'm just sitting here shaking my head. I can't even begin to imagine the horrible pain that dog suffered and for how long it was like that before it was finally put out of its misery. I'd like to know if they caught who did it.
