I think I should not have read this story. Totally inappropriate sentence for the crime. Judges can only give punishment as allowed by the law, though. We definitely need stricter laws to protect animals. It's shocking to hear that AK and KS don't consider this type of behavior illegal. The man taping in OK got 5 yrs. in prison, but the woman participating with the dogs got nothing. Something's way wrong here. We need serious jail time for crimes like this. I'm not sure rehab of any kind would help, either in or out of jail.

I am disgusted. Ok, I dont think the dog had to be killed over this either! If it was taught to interact with people in that way it can be untaught. Those perverts deserve more than what they are getting, if they are that sick they will do it again.

60 days isn't enough by a longshot!!! And they should be reflagged with every shelter, humane society, vetrinarian, and police station in the country. They did this once, they'll do it again, and they'll be more careful next time, so they don't get caught. Disgraceful. A pet can't say no any more than a child. where's their protection??

There are actually groups asking for this stuff, and the list is larger than we might think. Look into bestiality on the net and it is scary. Full prosicution is needed, but it won't happen.
 
I first became very angry when reading this story. Now I am so sad for the poor animals that are subjected to this. It is a horror. Jail time, Big Time.

How sick can someone be. These people should have gotten longer than 60 days. Poor dog had to be put down. If i was the dog i wouldnt wanna live in pain.

60 days in jail for both of them and the dog had to be euthanized? What a bunch of freaks! I don't even know what else to say about this terrible story.
 
This poor dog! Wow what a joke of a sentence for these people! There needs to be much harsher penalties!

this is terrible, to think anyone could do that deeply disturbs me. And the fact the dog had to be killed because of how it had been taught to interact with others is terrible. THIS IS TERRIBLE!

Very disturbing. I couldn't even read the entire article. I say they are forbidden to own pets forever, not just the pathetic 2 year probation.

This unspeakable behavior should be a felony. The penalties for any serious animal mistreatment need to include financial consequences and jail time. I am sickened that these poor innocent animals are victims of people who don't deserve to live in society. They say animal cruelty is symptomatic of other serious deviant behaviors; one can only imagine. Unbelievable.

This is sick and wrong. I don't agree with them not being a loud to have animals for the two years on probation, they should NEVER be able to have another animal for the rest of their lives. For this only being a misdemeanor they should change he law this is absolutely repulsive. This is beyond sick and twisted. Some people are just gross. What the heck would possess someone to do something like this.

Bestiality is a paraphilia (a type of sexual disorder) recognized in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM) of hte American Psychological Association. These people are sick and their behavior is criminal. I am shocked that this activity is legal in more than one state.

Good for Zootoo for including this article. People need to be outraged by the fact that this goes on, and more importantly that people are not punished more strictly. How else does change happen?

Sorry, I do not agree with you. For myself I can handle reading articles like this, but I have two granddaughters ages 11 & 12 who are doing everything possible to help gain points for their local shelter. Imagine my shock when one came and asked me 'Nanny, did you see this article, it is disgusting and is this possible!!

These perverts should never be released out into normal society. The poor animals that they end up destroying by training them in this sick way, are truly helpless victims. When these lowlifes finish their community service they will just go back to their despicable lifestyle. Next time the helpless victim could be a child.

These people who have sex with dogs and make videos of it are very sick. And the people who watch them are just as sick. What kind of entertainment is this? They would go to jail for a long time if it was a child they were doing this to and an animal is just as defenseless as the child. And for an animal to have to be killed because he has been taught this sexual behavior. Lock these people up and throw away the key. They don't deserve to be out in society. And lock up the people who buy this garbage to sell.

Boy I thought I had heard alot of really dispicable behavior in my life, but these people all of them have me sitting here in disgusted disbelief. How can people be so horribly cruel to their pets. I guess these people (and I use that word losely, tho they can't be called animals cuz animals behave better) don't consider their pets family like we do. There needs to be stricter laws/rules (that are enforced) for people to adopt, or have pets allowed in their homes. I'm sorry but my girls are just that my girls, they are my children and I care them and watch them as if they were 5 year old little girls. Not simply "pets". Sorry for rambling but I am disgusted by these people!

These people are beyond disgusting! Maybe the punishment should have been reversed. The dog should have gotten 60 days in jail, the people should have been killed. AND, they can't own a pet for the 2 years they're on probation? Big deal. Just wait till after the 2 year period and see what they do. I would think these people would be considered sex offenders and be required to register as such.
