Once again....I Hate People! What in the crap would intice a human to do this? The money? The ability? No.....The SICKNESS, there are people that sadly think this is o.k. They are just like pedifiles, they prey on the weak. I disagree with putting this animal down, I think in time with proper care it should have been saved, look at the crime of the owners. Do we put them down? Sadly....no

i agree there's absolutely no reason to put the dog down. It's not psychologically scarring like it would be to a kid. The dog's fine to interact with people it's just like training a dog not to jump up on the table or not to jump on to the couch.

How sick can some people get is beyond me. Why did they have to kill the dog, couldn't they just get it fixed? This story just turn my stomach , I guess some will do anything for $ - sick, sick, sick.

they definitely did not just do that for just money. They enjoyed it too. Because there is no way a normal person would agree that $4000 is enough to engage in beastiality.

It was wrong to kill the dog. He has been a victim twice. I can't believe there wasn't an animal sanctuary out there that couldn't have taken him in. Some behavior modification training surely could have at least been tried. Sounds to me like they were just disgusted and took it out on the dog.

Exactly... they were disgusted and put the dog down because of it, and that was just plain wrong. There is no reason on earth that could not have been placed carefully and been re-trained. If they can re-train fighting dogs, why can't they have re-trained this poor animal? We have some sick and twisted morals in this country -- and I'm not just referring to the dog's owners.

This is so SO wrong. i don't even know what to say about it! Whats even worse is that these people can own animals again after 2 years! they shouldn't be allowed to own an animal for the rest of their life. Poor dog. this needs to be stopped in all 50 states so Alaska get on with it, all people need to be punished for this act of cruelity.

You can't get any sicker then this. This is rape. Give them the sentence for it. Also I would want to let them do any community services around anything living. This is as bad as the young kid that was have sick with a dead deer on the side of the road.

The had to KILL the dog for this???? That is insane. If we can teach a dog to not jump over a fence or not bark inappropriately, surely we can correct whatever inappropriate habits it has learned from these stupid people.

Killing the dog for the cruelty and ignorance of the owner sounds like more cruelty to me. It reminds me of the backwards practice of killing a dog for killing a chicken, because it has "tasted blood" and "can no longer be trusted."

Barbaric and ignorant, all around.

What is this world coming to? These poor innocent animals being subjected to this and then sentenced to death while the couple gets a few months jail time and probation? That's a messed up legal system. Definitely this couple and others like them should be red flagged to all shelters and breeders as never, ever being allowed to own another pet!

I commented on this article this morning, and have been thinking about it ever since. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Zootoo is a "game" of sorts, seeing who can rack-up the most points for their shelter by jumping through hoops per se. And I know we shelter folk need to know what's going on in the country, good or bad, but I think that putting this article on Zootoo really crossed the line, Big Time! There is enough hate and hurt in the world to see such things happen to our faithful companions. Yes, it's out there, but does Zootoo need to report it for "game" purposes, no.

Zootoo is a game of getting as many people as possible to view the ads on its website. And they aren't above playing National Enquirer to do it, unfortunately.

I'm sure their ad revenue brings in far more than enough to pay for their makeover contests, and then some.
