article....seems i can not vote either way...get a java script void error...?
so if i can vote, i would say thumbs up for getting this atrocious behavior into the forefront so we can join together to contact our president, state reps, senators, congressman etc...to get some laws with real consequences in place to protect the animals from this sort of mental and physical abuse...and then again i would vote thumbs down cuz the story and it's explicit details did not need to be on this family orientated site...i would hope those who voted thumbs up here feel like i do and would not accuse them of being pervs, to do so is assuming an awful lot
and to suggest they be removed from this community for voting a thumbs up is ludacris....these are just my personal opinions tho so don't take them too seriously....also please note my previous thank you reply to Pandora 33...

i do believe that as adults we do need to address this as it is sadly far more common than most people would like to believe....even my teen son came home from school saying that a boy in his school was in trouble for just this sort of mentally unbalanced act with his family pet....thank you again for protesting this...have you ever thought of organizing some sort of educational or protesting type of activity here in the USA...?? think that someone like you who has participated in a large scale protest would have the knowledge to begin some sort of movement here...what is even more disturbing is the easy availability of these sorts of materials now that we have the internet ... thanks again for being a voice for the animals that are being mentally and physically tortured ...

I was surprised to see that one of them was from Wichita, KS and that it isn't considered a crime there. I grew up in KS. It's a very conservative state in the middle of the Bible Belt. How could that not be illegal there? Maybe they just want to pretend that this kind of sick thing just doesn't happen.
It's sad that the dog had to be put down, but I guess I see their logic...They think that the since the dog was molested and taught to have sex with humans that it would molest any future owners. I don't think it was necessary to put it down immediately though. They should have selected a home very carefully for the animal. Explain to any prospective pet owners what the dog has been through, don't allow it to go to a home with children or other pets. If they can find the right person, the dog could be de-programmed. I mean, it's not like the dog is going to try to have sex with every human it sees, especially if the incident only happened once. There are plenty of dogs that will go up to a person and hump their legs, and they don't get put down.
I don't know, this whole story is depressing.
