Run, Congo, run! I am happy that Congo is back at home for now and I hope that he will win his appeal. This is clearly a human error on the workers part and not anything intentionally malicious on Congo's part. FREE CONGO!! LONG LIVE CONGO!!

I'm glad that the dog is home on appeal. I really think he was just defending his owner and his home. I hope everything works out for his family.

Not having been there or having enough info - who can say for sure, but it sure sounds like the dog was protecting and also possibly agitated by the gardeners. I pray that all works out for the family and Congo.

It is hard to tell from the info in the story if Congo should be punished but I am glad he is home pending appeal given what appears to be disputed facts in the case. It appears this was decided by a judge not a jury and it appears the facts as to whether this was a provoked or unprovoked attack are in dispute.

If the puppies in fact had injuries then it would seem the preponderance of evidence would show the dogs were protecting their puppies from injuries by the landscapers in which case they were acting appropriately on their own property and the landscapers were acting inappropriately.

Good luck to them and the dog is where it should be while the case is pending appeal.

Why do people think it is so terrible when a dog attacks someone on the dogs property. Sure, it's bad, but not death penalty bad. Humans can murder entire families & only get life where they're pampered for years in prison. If you only murder 1 person, you're usually out in 10 years or less to do it again. But I'm glad the dog is finally home. I hope he gets to stay.

I don't understand this. Crazy what people believe to be their rights when they themselves are offending others rights. This poor dog only did what he thougth was best....protecting his human!

After hearing all the events I am glad they are fighting so hard for him. I would too if my dog was only trying to protect me. If someone pulled me down to the ground and my dog heard me scream she would also have protected me.

I hope for a good ending for everyone. Just from watching the video it seems like Congo is a good dog. If he was really a dangerous dog would they endanger their child? Again, just from what I've seen in the video, it seems like Congo was provoked, in which case he nor his family should be held responsible.

If a dog is provoked or if the owner tells someone to stay clear of the dog and they fail to & something happens I say the dog or his owner are not responsible.
