Chihuahua Nabs Crook
CALIFORNIA – A Pomeranian and Chihuahua mix helped police in Auburn, Calif. on Christmas day by chasing one of four suspects who stole and crashed a minivan.
Four juveniles tried to escape from police after crashing a stolen minivan into a hillside near the home of Wendy Anderson. Anderson’s son’s three-pound pup, Tink found one of the suspects hiding under a neighbor’s motor home and chased him into the woods.
Anderson said she and her husband were able to direct a helicopter to where the suspect was hiding, thanks to the small dog chasing him.
The other three juveniles are from the San Francisco Bay area.
Officials arrested at least one culprit on suspicion of public intoxication and resisting arrest, while the driver was arrested for vehicle theft, felony evading, driving without a license and resisting arrest. Officials said the other two were released to their parents.
