I had never heard of this before...which probably means that many local shelters are oblivious,too. Perhaps if we got the word out there more and made it a more family friendly day like on a Saturday, there would be a few more adoptions.

What a special day for dogs. There should be donations of money and doggie items for Animal shelters and rescue's around the world.
