A dog using a litter box? That is so unusual, but it makes sense that Momcat would teach the pup just like the rest of her brood.

I like the idea of training the puppy to use a litter box. I've always wondered why people didn't train their small dogs to use a box. Especially apartment dwellers.

Why does he have to be trained to use a litter box. Just seemed odd that it was presented as a fact, with no explanation

Just what I was wondering! It's a nice story, but it seems training a puppy to use a litter box is not preparing him to be in a typical dog's home.

That is so adorable!! I hope the puppy doesn't grow so fast that he's a threat to his little kitten "brother and sisters" It's just so amazing how accepting animals are!

I think this is great and it shows that two different breeds can get along. Now only if people would follow suit....

Love this story. The idea of a dog using a litter box has crossed my mind when I had my 2 dogs. I guess it would be something you have to do from first training them. I think it would be a good idea, especially for the elderly who have a hard time getting out to walk their dogs.

A dog using a litter box? Doesn't seem quite right. What breed of dog is he? Hopefully a smaller breed that won't play too rough with his litter mates. Although, I've heard may people say their cats beat up their Pit Bulls so maybe the pup is in more dangerous company than the other way around.

How come animals ARE more tolerant than humans?

Is it the same instinct in them that makes them not judge us?

Interesting...

Why not? The puppy gets the warmth and love of a mommy, and someone gets to adopt a puppy who thinks he is a cat. Cute!
