She needs to go to jail and as a condition of parole, should never own another animal.

This hoarder needs jail time. She needs to be permanently out of business. This hoarder needs to be taught a lesson. This is the second time around.A slap on the hand won't work.

I would say she was in over her head, and if this is the second time lets hope she's learned her limit and there won't be a third time.

Why does it seem officials have such difficulty matching consequences with actions?! I wonder if the consequences match her actions this time. More information on the previous citing and the current charges would be a nice addition to this article.

How many times do people have to do these things for the government to realize that it's wrong? Yes, they do have laws that do help, but they need to be stricter. We should be kinder to our animal friends.

I hope all the living dogs that were rescued were able to be treated and are healthy by now...and that none of them were in such bad condition that they'd have to be put down. A rescue shelter?? I can see if the place were clean, the dogs were healthy and happy and being fed, but 24 dead canines? This woman has serious problems, even after 1 died I would've asked for help. She should never be able to own an animal again.

She should have gotten herself out of this situation a year ago. There is absolutely no exuce for this kind of situation. She should be fined and have some jail time too. This is absolutly outragious. Poor animals.

I think that this a horrible thing for someone to do. If she got in over her head, she should have handed some animals over to a local shelter or tried harder to find them homes rather then keeping them and letting them suffer. This is a very cruel and inhumane thing to do and puppy mills are discusting deals!

I don't understand how Lore can use the excuse she got in over her head.. This was the second time this happened.!! I don't condone the first , but shouldn't that have been your wake up call to slow down on the resucing and increase trying to find other places to take the animals..

This story kills me for the simple fact the lady said she was running a breeding facility and rescue in the same sentence! Once cited these people should be heavily monitored, how could it gotten out of hand this bad before being noticed? I really do hope some of these animals lives will be saved by being able to get adopted unfortunately in most cases the health is so bad for them they will be euthanized.

It is a mental desiese like everyone keeps saying...it's hoarding but with live things. They mean do to well by doing this they just get carried away. If they can properly care for the animals and they have legal rights to keep them fine...if not please get these hoaders help.

I agree with donnalu. She should have also been found guilty the first time since she was running an ILLEGAL breeding center. This is just a terrible thing to hear especially since the term "Concentration Camp" was used. It's sad to see that that's what it's compared to.

uhhh sick. Did anyone else catch the lame excuse she had??? You can't run a rescue AND a breeding operation! DUH they're polar opposites . It's one or the other. Besides there is no excuse anyway.

This is just some wannabe puppy mill. She just threw in rescue to not sound so awful! She got in over her head alright! She probably wanted to make some money and get into the breeding business and didn't know what she was doing. They should have watched her if she had already done something like this before! It wouldn't have gotten this far!

Maybe her intentions started out as for the good of the animals. But somewhere along the line, like at dog number 20 at most, she should have stopped herself and ask, "would it be better if I were to give these animals to a shelter where they will always have fresh water, food, a place to play, and a clean place to sleep?" She should have realized that she couldn't do this on her own and done what was best for the animals. It is sad that so many animals died before she was busted but hopefully, the rest of them will find loving homes.
