No animal should have to race for it's entire life just because it is a greyhound or a horse or it is very fast and no animal should have to be a parent for it's entire life. I was suprised to read in the daily news classified's today that some one was giving away a mother dog and her 3 day old puppies I hope they want them to go to a home together if not that is just crazy it was in free pets if anyone else reads this in the daily news please help the mother dog and her pup's stay together being only three days old they are way too young to be seperated from her.

drbarns am i reading what your said correctly. you don't believe in spay and neuter? what about all the deaths from having litter after litter and then having no where to put them, and passing defects from generation to generation/ they get put down. i think your view is very irresponsible. i do however believe we were meant to eat meat or we would not have canine teeth

HSUS and SPCA both of these organizations have stripped local shelters of the funds that would normally go to them by using our love of animals to raise funds for their activities which frankly have hurt animals since the passing of the mandatory spay and neuter laws nearly 500,000 pets have died on the operating table and now they are forcing the spay and neutering of puppies and kittens. Research shows there are no health benefits to spaying and neutering for any animals and in fact 2% of all animals who undergo this surgery will die. Another law they pushed onto the public was banning breeds of dogs. HSUS and the SPCA damned all pit bull looking dogs and as the count continues to grow they have in fact caused the death of hundreds of thousands of pit bulls looking dogs. If dogs were people this would be a hate crime. Go on line tinyurl.com/2a2jhwl and look at the pictures of piles of dead pit bulls killed by the cities who ban them. As for the so called Missouri anti puppy mill law that to did not make life better for dogs. It in fact lowered the standards of care so much the Missouri legislature is repealing this law which did not pass in all the counties but only in the clueless two cities that were bombarded by the lies of HSUS. This animal rights movement is totally about removing animals from our lives as the stated goal of the animal rights movement is to ban all use of animals for food, companionship and medical research. This is a dangerous movement for those people who cannot afford to protect themselves from these violent people in their quest to force a vegan world upon us. Its time for the public to rethink this animal rights movement as it is becoming clear that these animal rights people are anti-human. Singer the leader of the animal rights movement in his last article in the New York Times called on all of our young people to neuter themselves and then party down until the last human being dies out. The main identifier of a cult is that it requires you to remove meat from your diet on the pretext that it is healthy. However the real purpose of the cult in having you stop eating meat is because meat rebuilds the body and the brain through a balance of complex proteins and essential nutrients in combination with VB12. When you are out of balance and low in VB12 your thinking becomes irrational and your behavior responses are overly emotional, thus making you easily led. This is a cult movement as evidenced by their own responses to anyone who states the opposite. When one of their own members discovered her health going downhill on the vegan diet she was pepper sprayed when she tried to present this viewpoint at one of their conferences. Before you advocate a vegan diet you had better read up on the consequences to young children forced onto vegan diets. The darkside includes death, damage to internal organs and the bones when putting children on this diet. For boys the soy is a real problem and its the only vegetable that comes close to the complex proteins found in cows milk. Research shows that boys born to vegetarian or vegans mothers who use soy are five times more likely to suffer from hypospadias, a birth defect of the sexual organs. A high intake of soy during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy can also cause damage to the fetus's developing brain." Research has shown that soy-formula contains approximately the same amount of estrogen found in five birth control pills. Imagine the effect this has on children, not to mention baby boys. "These babies' isoflavone levels were found to be from 13,000 to 22,000 times higher than in non-soy fed infants," according to www.mercola.com. Not only would males be digesting surplus amounts of estrogen in their soy diet, but the estrogen has also been shown to actually stifle their testosterone levels. Some 12 million infants and young children die each year in developing countries from complications of marasmus (protein- deficiency) and kwashiorkor (severe protein deficiency). Not all people can digest protein from plant material and especially children. Extra steps like vitamin supplements and careful planning are particularly crucial for kids, since their bodies are not fully developed. Yet vegan activists at PETA and the woefully misnamed Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) continue to push vegan diets on children. We are seeing an increase in death, rickets, malformation of the bones and malnutrition in children on vegan diets. A vegan diet lacks vitamin B12, found only in animal foods; usable vitamins A and D, found in meat, fish, eggs and butter; and necessary minerals like calcium and zinc are in their most digestible form in meat. A properly balanced diet is necessary and one that is moderate is the most healthy diet. Remember human beings, dogs, and cats are made to get their nutrition from meat not just plants.

i do get their mail and i think this is wonderful. when i lived in nh they had greyhound racing. i went once and would never go again
