Great story. I'm so glad it had a happy ending in both cases. Thank goodness the fireman have special training for this kind of thing.

Hopefully the owners have learned a lesson. Mr. Dimino risked his own life to save their dog. This close call could have been prevented by using a leash. The next time, they might not be so lucky.

Oh how cute I'm glad he is safe. There was a full grown mother elk and baby elk that were stuck the baby was on ice and the mama was in a hole of water and she was unable to get out they had to use a boat and break some of the ice to save them both but they were okay and were realesed back out into the wild when spring came.
