It's a bad situation all around - the inhumane shooter(s) and owners who let their dogs roam and expose them to any number of possible tragedies - being hit by car, attacked by other animals, etc.

I agree that is not very good problem solving. If you have a problem with an animal talk to the owner in a reasonable way. But consider first whether you are just being intolerant of others.

Why do we have to continually tell pet owners to keep their animals inside and safe? People just don't have much sense. I hate it that the dogs are suffering from these BB's but what owner in their right mind would let their dogs out to run with something like this going on? Crazy!

HMMM...Well, this really makes me mad. I hate that people would shoot a dog...but, thank goodness, they are not killing them. Shoot the owners instead!!! Keep your dog inside people!! And, if your dog is annoying other people, you need to be responsible.

Might not be little punks, could be grown ups who have to work early in the morning. I am not saying that I agree with this at all, because I don't! What I am saying is when a dog barks and barks all night long, and you have to get up early in the morning to go to work, it can get to you. I am a dog lover and love my dogs, but, I hate some owners of dogs!!! They can keep them inside with them.

Yeah, let's whip the frenzy a little higher by using the word "snipe." Grrr. If you don't know how to use a word correctly, don't freakin' use it!

Okay, that said....

I don't. I think the shooter is just getting sick jollies. Yeah, he may have poop on his lawn, but four dogs sounds like more than a grievance.

Of course, not letting your dog wander would help things. But for that you need to pellet the owners. I mean, punish. Like, harrass Animal Control until they do something. Don't shoot the owners! No, I didn't say that.

This should be cruelty to animals so they need to find the person. That person needs to pay for the vet bills of the animals they hurt. But pet owners need to keep their pets contained and not left outside by themselves.

The culprit here is probably a young kid who thinks it is funny. I feel awful for these dogs and their owners. We often see injured cats and dogs at our shelter who have been shot with BB guns.

I hope they find this person and let the owners shoot him with the bb gun. It is probably some kid doing it , or mentally deranged adult. I always keep my dogs indoors when I am gone and when they go in my backyard, I always go out with them.

I had a rescue dog and everytime in petted him on his lower back he would yip. Xrays picked up the fact that he had a bb lodged in his back. I can't understand people who do this. It probably is kids, but where are their parents?

Ohh this is terrible! I had this happen to one of my cats when I was a teenager. I saw our next door neighbor shooting a bb gun at my cat, and not knowing it was a bb gun I ran in the house screaming and crying because I thought our neighbor had just killed my cat! My mom called the police and they did nothing to him because it was just a bb gun and he was told not to do it again. He did pay for the vet bill. Needless to say I was really tore up over this and hated him after that and I never spoke to him again. My cat lived through the rough ordeal and when I left home I took him with me. I had him nuetered and I never let him outside again! Poor cat lived through that and then had to go through life with my four kids too! He lived to be 18 years, and it has been 10 years now since I had him euthinized and not a day goes by that I don't think about him! He was the best cat I ever had! Rest in peace Josh! I sure hope the police find the person responsible for this and punish that person to the fullest!

Yet another case of a sick individual or individuals that take out their own anger and low self esteem on defenseless animals.

Pet owners really need to watch their animals when outside and make sure they are not barking excessively to aggravate these types of individuals.

Hopefully this sick person or persons will be caught and prosecuted.
