At AHHR we try to focus on educating the public on horse care issues. We've rescued countless horses from bad situations, due to either ignorance or just plain cruelty and neglect. Horses are expensive to keep and can be complicated physically and mentally to understand their needs. We believe that education is the key to stop the unwanted populations of horses in this country. People need to know that there are groups like us out there to help them to understand their horses, to help them in times of need, and to lend a guiding hand, so that getting "rid" of their horse can be a last resort. We sould like to see everyone be able to keep their horses so they can live out their lives in forever and loving homes.
