Groups: Pug Lovers Everywhere
My son adopted a female pug from our local humane society. I paid the fees for him a fathers day present.
We followed up with tthe required 7 day vvet visit after he ttook her home. The vvet said that she iis approximately 8
years old. She had
not be spayed. We
set a date for her
surgery. During the
surgery we had a
dental done. She had
9 teeth; but the vet
had to pull 4 of
them due to the lack
of dental care she
had not had in the
past. She had a
staph infection
under the flap of
skin above her nose.
She also had an ear
infection. After
getting all of these
issues cleared up,
my son decided to
give her to me. I
had just put my 17
year old pekingnese
to sleep. I could
not ask for a better
dog. She is friendly, doesn't seem to know how to bark, loves kids,
loves to be loved,
petted, brushed, travel in the car, and best of all she sleeps with me (like a little hot water bottle). She
was already house broken when we got her. So now I am trying to teach her standard tricks. I am also teacher her
sign language along
with the veral commands. I figure
with her ear infection that she will probably some day be deaf. So this
way she will be able
to do the commands
if it happens. My
granddaughter named
her Princess Fiona
(from the Shrek movie). It fits perfectly. We love her and hope to have
her for at least 10
years. She is the Best ever.
