Craigs List

Craigslist has its good and bad sides. It is a free service and anyone anywhere can look up your postings. They have gotten a bit better with their animal sale policies than they used to be, but there is no way to effectively make everything ethical and honest. You have to use a lot of common sense when interacting with people on craigslist and keep your eyes open for scammers or others of ill intent.

Pros: free posting of adoptable animals

Cons: have to be careful about ill intentioned people

Craigslist is great for selling and finding things other than pets. When it comes to the pets section, I despise it.

Constant flagging, people who are obvious breeders complaining when they get flagged (hmmm, rules state NO breeders, and people rehoming purebred AKC puppies 9 weeks of age for a high fee think they are being sneaky), decent legit rescues getting flagged, people trying to rehome getting flagged...get my point?

More annoying than the flagging is the amount of breeders posting puppies, and the amount of irresponsible people trying to get rid of their "oops" litters, and the high amount of people that post that their pet will be taken to the shelter and be euthed if someone doesn't want it. Just too many ignorant and irresponsible people given a means to continue their bad behavior.
