The American cat Association is the oldest registry in the US - Susie Page secretary for the ACA sends communications from the Association on the same type written (on a typewriter) letterhead. This quaint tradition along with conscientious and attentive customer care persist without the familiar modern email and web sites. The ACA registers over 10 000 cats each year and hosts over 75 shows in the US and eastern Canada. The ACA and it's members work to promote good breeding practice and to preserve traditional breeds
