Our organization is involved in the care, rescue, and adoption of native and non-native turtle species. We have been in existence since 1964 educating the community in general about the vital role that turtles and tortoises play in our world both as well-cared for pets and in the wild. It is our goal to see that these beautiful creatures are not harmed but assisted to live their very long lives in the manner to which they should. We actively seek new homes for abandoned or unwanted pets and have monthly meetings to enlighten those who keep turtles and tortoises. We provide community outreach and produce a yearly show where we exhibit different species that are kept in captivity. We are a volunteer organization that depends on donations and the time and assistance of our members.

California Turtle and Tortoise club

posted 7 years ago

I have been a member of this organization since I was a child. California Turtle and Tortoise Club has been active since 1964 working hard on educations and conservation of desert tortoises. Please support this cause.

Pros: This organizations works very hard. The help both native desert tortoises and captive pet turtles that are abandoned lost and injuried. They offer adoptions to qualified individuals.

Cons: there are several chapters and they vary from one another slightly.
