They don't need, nuts, seeds or honey

posted 6 years ago

Just because something is delicious doesn't mean it's healthy or a good snack. Guinea pigs need vitamin C fortified, timothy based pellets, small quantity of fresh veggies and unlimited hay. Seeds and nuts pose a choking risk. They never need added sweeteners and should limit fruits that are high in natural sugar. I wouldn't give these to my guinea pigs.

Pros: tastes good

Cons: junk food snack

Iams ProActive Health Multi-Cat Chicken & Salmon Cat Food

I have 3 cats and they love this food. They eat less and walk away with a full belly. Eating less means pooping less and less litter. All around a great choice for my cats.
