I have tried this for hamsters, gerbils, mice and rats and I could not get any of them to use it regularly. It is good in theory, but the "little" ones have no interest in going potty in the same place. They use it, but also use everywhere else too. ):

I bought this and the litter when I adopted a couple of dwarf hamsters. I loved the idea, but I found it did not work for me. I am not sure if it was because I had the dwarf/Siberian type hamsters or if it was just the individual hamsters I had, or what. I followed the directions, but had no luck. The hammies slept in their litter and box, played in it, and in all their other parts of their tank, but were unaware there was a distinction about a particular zone to relieve themselves in and continued to go wherever they felt like it. I was sort of bummed that it did not work, no matter what I tried.

When I was a kid our two ferrets used their litter box religously, but our ferrets now won't go near one of these corner litter boxes if their lives depended on it. They prefer bedding and they choose which corner they would like to make into a bathroom.

Pros: Helps keep poo in one place!

Cons: It didn't work for us

Maybe my hamster is the first, but he didn't use his "Little John" at all! He didn't understand or something because all he did was go to bed in it. It can be used as a bed, but it really didn't do it for my hamster.

Pros: Good as a hide away or bed

Cons: Doesnt use it at all!

i really like this product because my pet rat is potty trained and he dont like for his cage to be messy which is good for me because i dont have to clean out his cage as much ...
