i got this once for two mice i used to have. It was really cute and hung off the top of the mesh cover on their cage. I thought it was going to work out great until they chewed the cords that it was hanging from. They chewed right through them in the matter of hours. I had to cut the remaining parts off and just put the house part on the floor of their cage. After that, they slept in it all the time and seemed to really enjoy it. I don't know if hamsters would do the same thing.
Pros: very cute, cheap
Cons: not for mice
