wood chips are great they are absorbant and you can use them in a compost pile after your pet uses them

ABM is one of the best products that I have found on the market for quickly drying a wet, muddy stall. We haven't had much rain in awhile, but when we did this product saved my horses from sinking into the mud and gave them a nice dry spot to lay down. It is fairly inexpensive and soaks up the water very quickly. I found it to be much more effective as far as absorbancy than dry-stall which is basically regular kitty litter. The only downside is when you have a very rainy season. You have to buy several bags to soak up the water and continue to replace it since the compressed kernels can only soak up so much. My horse tried eating it at first which made me a bit concerned, but he did not have any colic episodes as a result.

Pros: Absorbs rain and excessive urine more effectively than other products on the market.

Cons: Horses may try to eat it!

I love this stuff! It's the best litter we've found so far, even better than other wood pellet brands we've tried. Unfortunately it's a farther drive than the other brands so we don't have it all that often. But it's worth it.
