These cages are quite small. I got my first rabbit in this cage and he had lived in it for about 5 years but had exercise time as well. He liked having the second level but never used the third so we got rid of it. Eventually the clips on the ramp to the second level were broken (chewed) but he didn't need it to get up there. It was easy to clean and set up.

The cage is only big enough for a dwarf rabbit and even then I wouldn't use it unless they also had plenty of time outside their cage. We switched to an extra large dog crate soon after we got him and he has room to run around in his new home.

Our chinchilla has this exact cage and it works well for him for the past 5 years. He can jump from level to level and still has room to jump about. There is also room for his wheel and a terracotta pot for him to hide in. We also have room to put in his dustbath temporarily. We remove this after he finishes his bath so that he will have room to run. He does gnaw on the plastic but it has not hurt him.

Pros: Great - Roomy

Cons: So large it can be hard to maneuver but it's worth it

We bought this for our guinea pig and he loved it.
We liked to high plastic bottom that helped hold in bedding. I love that it breaks down for easy storage.

I prefer the wide design as I have always felt they preferred this design. They always seem to like to run around in this design. The high designs always seemed to me like they would just lay around. This design is easier to clean as everything is within reach. Excellent buy. Must have.
