We tried this for hamsters and other small animals and found it a little hard for them to use because it hangs from above them and they have to reach to get the food out of it. My birds (finches) on the other hand LOVED it because they can perch on it while they eat! It keeps the food off of the bottom of the cage, which keeps it clean!

I actually use this to put leafy veggies in my parrots cage. I like that I can hang this from various areas and the twisting/spinning motion makes it more challenging to get the food. The design is a little different too which is great mental entertainment for the parrots.
