I used to use this for my hamster's stuff, since he liked to pee while running on his solid plastic wheel. Ew. This did get rid of the smell but didn't do much to help clean off any dried-on urine. Later, I found out that plain white vinegar is just as good if not better for getting rid of urine smells and it loosens and cleans up stuck-on crud.

Why buy this when a common kitchen ingredient works better?

Besides hot water and baby shampoo, this is my favorite cage cleaner.

Just spray it on the cage surface and wipe it down, then wipe it dry, with paper towels. Or spray it on, then wipe down and rinse out with warm water.

This cleaner is effective enough to get even crusty spots to come loose, but doesn't leave a harsh residue that will harm your pets. It has a pleasant scent that lasts for a few minutes after cleaning, but doesn't hang around for a long time. The fragrance is not strong enough to harm the delicate respiratory systems of the pocket pets, but I do like that it evaporates as quickly as it does.

A little goes a long way with this cleaner, for which I'm grateful. The cost of this cleaner is a bit more than some consumers may like paying. Perhaps as demand increases, the price will go down.

This product cleans up well and smells great. The only problem I have is the price. It cleans up about as well as vinegar, but vinegar is a lot cheaper. However, vinegar smells, so I can see why some people would like to use this better.

My hamster excersizes in his ball every night so I clean it out with this everyday or everyother day and it works great. Of course I also use it on the cage and it smells really good!

Cons: leaves water strains on plastic

I used this for my hams and I think it works pretty good. It smells wonderful but it mostly just covers up the smell. But overall pretty good.

Pros: Smells great.

Cons: A bit expensive.
