I wouldn't rule these out. You might have a cavy that enjoys these so I would look into trying them for yourself. My guinea pigs just weren't interested, but it could just be their preference. Guinea pigs need to chew so give it a try.

My sister's hammie, Daffy just seemed to enjoy burying them as oppose to actually gnawing on them. Maybe if they could somehow be attached to the cage as opposed to loosely hanging around, they might be more tempting.

Pros: Allows for healthy chewing (so the hammie doesn't chew on his water bottle)

Cons: Tends to get buried in the shavings and bedding then soiled.

My gerbils always love chewing these. They get through them pretty quickly, so I am always buying more.
