If you have a small pet that likes to chew, these are safe for them, so I'd give them a try. My cavies didn't pay attention to these at all. I use dried pine in my cages so they probably didn't recognize them as anything but bedding. Not a bad item; good idea if your pet likes them.
Pros: good chewing toy
Cons: didn't pay attention to them
