Treated with irradiation!

I bought these to review on zootoo and I found something on the package which reads "Treated with irradiation" and I looked it up and wonder if this could be treated with radiation? Does that mean it's microwaved? Not sure if I would want to continaully feed this to my dogs without the company describing what they mean by this. Otherwise the ingredients are rawhide, water, tapioca and carmel color.
Pros: Dogs like it
