I Bought one of these for my Son to take jack to School For Show and tell.Well some time during the day Jack chewed his way out through the top witch is soft plastic. And Hamsters love to chew. Luckilly the teacher found Jack befor he came to harm.

Cons: Flimsy construction

We have two crabs who live in a bigger one and we have one for the gerbils for transport only (or for isolation when an older one was sick and dying). Great for both purposes. The lid stays on really well, but I still don't carry it by the handle only "just in case" because the crab one is quite heavy with sand, rocks and bark in it. The top flap is hard to get open, though.
Overall, we really like them because you can use it for quite a few different applications.

Pros: Good for home for small stuff and transport small animals

Cons: Lid on top is hard to get open
