I love how this bedding comes in small blocks but has the ability to expand to create a soft nesting area for small animals. I have used this for my pet rats & guinea pigs. You simply put the block in the cage and let the animals take it from there!

Once my hamster figured out what it was, she loved this product! It definately enhanced the hamster "burrow" and kept her warm and comfy. I use recycled paper bedding, so sometimes it is a bit hard, and this was a nice alternative for the hamster to sleep on.

Pros: gives hamster something to do

Cons: it took awhile for the hamster to catch on what to do with it
