I am one of those people that just cannot go get distilled water for my turtle for every water change, and this stuff safes the day. It takes the harmful chemicals out or tap water, and it also breaks down ammonia which turtles produce like mad. It works on contact and has ended up saving us money in the long run.
It does make the water a little smelly, and I clean the slime out of our filter more often, but it is all really worth it.
