Repcal makes good products. Every reptile board I have been on suggests Repcal products. Calcium is absolutely necessary for most reptiles to thrive. I, personally, use the Repcal without D3.

Remember to use Calcium with D3 if your UVB comes from a florescent light and Calcium without D3 if you use a Mercury Vapor Bulb as these bulbs actually mimic natural sunlight, therefore creating D3 naturally.

Most reptiles, except for snakes, tend to suffer calcium deficiency problems if they don't get enough calcium AND enough UV light so they can manufacture sufficient vitamin D. While calcium w/vitamin D doesn't eliminate the need for UV light, it can help prevent problems. This calcium powder is easy to use. Either dip or shake prey items with it or dust it over the reptiles food.

I have always had a good experience with Rep-Cal products. I dust both crickets and mealworms with this calcium powder before they are fed to my bearded dragon, water dragon, and chameleon.
