Eco Earth

This stuff is a mess to use, at first. Once in the cage, it is a good product. The only problem it presents is the same as other loose or particle substrate - it harbors bacteria along with wetness. The best difference between this stuff and other particle substrates, though, is that this can be safely digested (by accident, of course), so long as the animal is large enough and not too much is ingested.

I use it dry for my desert animals and i use it moist for my tropical animals. I also use it to grow my cat grass in for my cats to eat. It is digestible if swallowed. It holds humidity very well. I use it to incubate eggs on. Its very cheap and you get alot for your money. Its great for use with invertebrates. I use it for my scorpion and my tarantulas. I even use it for my feeder insects such as roaches and crickets.

Pros: Digestible, safe, holdes humidity, versitile

Cons: a bit messy
