I've used this sand with my bearded dragons and liked it. It conducts heat well, just like any sand, but it has the benefit of being safe to the lizard if swallowed (my elderly lizards have a tendency to swallow some substrate along with their crickets or mealworms). The main downside is that it is very expensive. I have to buy several bags to cover the base of the cage and at about $7 a bag, it can get a bit costy.

My bearded dragon likes to eat his food....and take some dirt with him. With this calci-sand i was able to stop worrying! If he eats it its actually good for him!
