this is a nice starter kit for one or two small crabs, eventually would need to go to larger casing with more structures for hermits to hide behind/

Putting hermit crabs in this environment is killing them. There is absolutely nothing that a hermit crab needs contained in this kit. The tank is way too small, the wire contraption is dangerous to their health (metal), the substrate is absolutely a crime, and the list goes on. PLEASE DO NOT put your hermit crabs in this- give them a chance at life.

My son got this cage with his hermit crab - it was easy for him to carry around and easy to clean. But I felt bad for the little guy for having such a small little home.

It is okay for a start up kit, but they is not much space and the smaller the area, the more you have to CLEAN - so change that water!
