I use these in my snake tanks. They have a fairly realistic look and are much easier to clean that things like hollowed out pine logs. The price isn't bad if you only have a few snakes, but those with lots of snakes will likely look for less expensive, albeit less visually attractive, hides.

we bought the extra large for our ball python and he loves it. there is enough room that he can grow and still fit in it and it makes the cage look les boring. it is priced fairly and seems to be durable.

When placed into bedding to hide the entrance, this little hide makes a secure space for small snakes.

Pros: good for small animals

Cons: entrance a little large for what I'm using it for

Snakes spend much of their time hiding so it is essential to have a place to hide

Pros: Retains heat, enrichment

Cons: Hard to find larger sizes
