crabs liked to suck the water off of these sponges.

when I first got Hermit Crabs,I bought these because I thought that they were cute.After using them for a while,I switched to the natural Sea Sponges.because these Star sponges didn't hold and absorb water as well as the natural ones do.I also noticed that they seemed to have gotten a bit on the smelly side.
It wasn't that they didn't work,but that I found something that worked even better.

When we had our hermit crab, I wish that I had one of these for him. All I had was a small ordinary sponge.

when I first had crabs I used a water bowl but it would dry out in our dry climate. Sponges seem to hold water longer, and they also have a bowl for climbing into if they wish.
