I use this as a background on my Hermit Crab tank.Hermit crabs love climbing and this mat is the perfect choice to use.Another plus is that I can mist it with water,and because it's made from coconut fibers,it retains the water which makes the tank more humid,and that is important for crabs.
Not only is the background more attractive looking,but it's fun watching the crabs scale the wall.I have had this for over three years now,and it's still in really good shape.
