Crab Island Climbing Background

I've had this hanging in the Hermit habitat for at least 4 years,and it's still in great condition.I enjoy watching the Hermies climbing around on it and they enjoy the challenge.

Pros: It's a hit with the Hermit Crabs

Cons: there is none

This stuff maximizes room to roam in a crabitat. My hermies came to life after placing this on the back panel of my aquarium. They really use this stuff for climbing and gives an escape route to crabs fighting. They have more area to escape to when backed in a corner.

I cut the top of a long sheet to look like mountain tops. Add some plastic vines or plants and it looks beautifully natural. You can cut the mat into large shapes like trees or mountains. Spray misting it with a little water can increase humidity too!

If you use the large mat as is, you may want to add some extra double sided tape to reinforce the back. After lots of use, which it will get, the extra tape, or velcro, will keep it more secure.
