I find that a dog harness works much better. It might work for when the lizard is a baby but once they get bigger a dog harness works some much better and it's durable.

When i found a 15in blue tongue skank in my yard (presumably someone lost their pet, since i live in Wisconsin) my family and i kept it around for a few days while trying to find an owner or an organization to take it. No one would, not the DNR or anyone who could help. Finally, Lakeland Animal Shelter took in the lost lizard. what a great shelter. but anyways...i tried to buy a little leash for the lizard to take it outside, but i couldn't find one. all that i could find was a small dog harness. i bought that but it didnt work too well.
